Storyline: Jay Wheeler (Scott Speedman) is a troubled young
man who has been estranged from his wealthy family for years. He has been in
and out of rehab, and his latest stint ends when he receives a call informing
him that his brother is getting married. His father, who is concerned about
Jay's behavior, insists that he attend the wedding and bring a date to prove
that he has turned his life around.
Meanwhile, Daisy Kensington (Evan Rachel Wood) is a quirky
and free-spirited young woman who has spent her entire life in a psychiatric
hospital. She has never been outside the hospital walls, and she longs for
adventure and excitement.
When Jay meets Daisy, he sees an opportunity to prove to his
family that he has changed. He convinces her to go with him to the wedding as
his date, and the two embark on a road trip to his family's estate. Along the
way, they encounter a series of obstacles, and Jay begins to see Daisy in a new
light. As their relationship deepens, Jay realizes that Daisy may be the one
person who can help him turn his life around.
